City of Coral Springs is seeking a Parks Maintenance Worker to provide organization, sanitation and general maintenance in assigned park areas. You will perform general and preventative maintenance and ensure cleanliness of supplies.

Shifts are Saturdays and Sundays from 2:30 PM to close, with times adjusted for events. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and knowledge of landscaping tools, plus valid Florida driver's license. City offers benefits and opportunities within Parks Department.

Qualificações

High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
Working knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment.
Valid Florida driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsabilidades

Inspect park facilities for safety issues and maintain cleanliness.
Mow athletic fields and perform basic landscape maintenance.
Paint athletic fields and operate pressure cleaning equipment.
Turn on/off park lights and manage permits where applicable.
Fill out daily and weekly logs and inspections.
Assist with group projects and coordinate with team members.
Remove trash, pick landscape debris, and maintain restrooms.

Description

Under direct supervision, the purpose of the position is to provide organization, sanitation, and general maintenance in the assigned area of the assigned Department. Employees in this classification perform general and preventative maintenance work. Position is responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of supplies in the assigned areas.

This position may be assigned to other Parks locations as needed based on department operations.

Days/Hours: Saturday and Sunday, 2:30 PM - Close(Shift times may be adjusted based on scheduled events and business needs).

Examples of Duties

Inspects park facilities for any safety issues that may be present.

Sprays for weeds and other plant material.
Painting of athletic fields.
Brings equipment out to West side for repairs and maintenance.
Mows athletic fields.
Pick stick trash around the park.
Clean restrooms.
Pressure clean park amenities.
Fill out daily and weekly logs and inspections.
Complete basic landscape maintenance.
Work in group projects.
Drag and line ball fields.
Remove trash from trash cans.
Pickup landscape debris.
Drag and line ballfields
Turn on field lights for permits
Checking to make sure people have the proper permits.
Turning off field lights at the end of the night.
Opening/Closing the restrooms and park gates.

Typical Qualifications

High school graduation or equivalent and working knowledge of tools and equipment used in landscaping and grounds keeping work as well as using pressure cleaning equipment Possession of valid Florida driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Supplemental Information

Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as office or meeting and training rooms, e.g., use of safe work place practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire and building safety regulations, and traffic signals when driving.
