Job summary

UPS is seeking a warehouse supervisor in Philadelphia to supervise Package Handlers, train and develop teams, and uphold safety, production and attendance standards. The role emphasizes leadership to foster a productive, accurate, customer-focused environment and to build strong, cooperative relationships across organizational levels.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or international equivalent (preferred) and management experience.

Qualifications

• Supervises Package Handlers and trains, develops and holds workgroups responsible for safety, production and attendance.
• Sets high standards for productivity, accuracy, customer service, organization, communication, cooperation and safety.
• Provides leadership and fosters cross-level relationships throughout the organization.
• Ensures safety policies & OSHA compliance across the department.
• Manages resources to maximize output, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Establishes a positive, team-oriented environment with proactive communication.
• Implements personal development plans for department personnel.
• Ensures orientation, training, materials, regular evaluations and coaching.
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs./32 kgs.
• Flexible shift hours up to 5 days per week.
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Preferred.
• Management experience - Preferred.

• Ensures all department employees receive specific and detailed orientation, skills and safety training, appropriate materials and information, regular evaluations, and pro-active coaching to support their continued development.
• Ensures all employees adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times.
