Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking an Environmental Services Associate at Washington Township Hospital. This part-time role requires cleaning, sanitizing, and supporting a safe patient environment. You will follow policies, dispose of biohazards, and maintain equipment while assisting with moves and supply delivery.

You will interact with patients and staff using courteous communication, adhere to PPE and hygiene standards, and rotate weekends and holidays as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year experience in housekeeping in healthcare settings preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, sanitary, safe patient-care environments per policy.
• Dispose biohazards following EPA/OSHA rules.
• Maintain equipment, carts, and storage areas for professional appearance.
• Follow PPE requirements to prevent exposure to hazards.
• Adhere to hand hygiene and safety policies.
• Assist with moves, setup, recycling, and waste removal as needed.
• Communicate with patients and staff with courtesy.
• Assist with furniture movement and supply delivery upon supervisor request.
