Job summary

RHA Health Services is hiring a Direct Support Professional for a part-time weekend 3p-11p shift. You will provide personalized support to individuals with disabilities, helping them engage in the community and achieve personal goals with compassion and respect.

Responsibilities include promoting independence, assisting with daily living activities, and accompanying clients to work and social activities, while following person-centered plans and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for individuals’ human, legal, and civil rights.
• Promote health and safety by supporting wellness initiatives and accident prevention.

• Facilitate community engagement by accompanying individuals to work, recreational activities, and social events.
• Teach and support independent living skills, including household management and personal care.
• Provide transportation for appointments, errands, and community activities.
• Foster social connections by supporting relationship-building within the community.
• Support informed decision‑making regarding living arrangements, employment, and social activities.
