Job summary

Serendipity Labs is seeking an Experience Coordinator at our Plano location to deliver top-tier hospitality and member services. You will greet visitors, manage requests, support events, and help maintain a welcoming environment that reflects our brand standards.

This role emphasizes proactive service, organization, and strong communication with members, guests, and staff. Ideal candidates have at least one year in hospitality, a friendly demeanor, and solid MS Office skills to update member

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a hospitality position.
  • Strong customer service and hospitality experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable using MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Welcome visitors and users at reception with a warm, professional manner.
  • Handle phone and in-person requests for assistance.
  • Maintain detailed member information and billing data.
  • Open/close lab locations and ensure brand standards are met.
  • Assist in setting up and clearing meetings and events.
  • Support local marketing activities to generate member engagement.
  • Provide a high level of personal customer service daily.
  • Act as a brand ambassador across Serendipity Lab locations.

Your Future Role: Experience Coordinator

You are the team member that our members see every day, and the backbone of our daily operations. Seamless event execution, professional appearance and friendly, courteous demeanor are all essential ingredients in being successful in this role, as is the ability to think ahead and anticipate people’s needs. All this can be accomplished by:

  1. Providing a warm and professional welcome to visitors and users of the lab at reception.
  2. Effectively handling phone and in person requests for assistance.
  3. A keen attention to detail to anticipate Member needs.
  4. Opening and closing the lab location so that its ready for business and meeting our brand standards.
  5. Properly stocking and maintaining the appearance of the lab including reception, meeting rooms, Café, Member and common areas.
  6. Light cleaning duties with strong attention to detail to ensure the Lab is always up to brand standard for our Members.
  7. Assisting in delivering Meeting & Events booked into the lab including set-up, catering, and clean-up.
  8. Creating a community through contributions to member events and fostering ways to engage members and the local community.
  9. Generating interest in the lab by assisting with certain local marketing activities.
  10. Knowing the Lab’s Members to ensure the best possible handling of requests, visitors, and service requirements.
  11. Updating, charging, and maintaining accurate member information in billing software.
  12. Being knowledgeable of all other lab locations, our products and services, and acting as a brand champion.
  13. Serving as backup to other similar positions at other Serendipity Lab locations nearby (if applicable)

Requirements:

  • Reasoning, remembering, mathematics, appropriate language (written and verbal) ability.
  • Support and interact with members, visitors and lab staff
  • Hearing – Ability to receive detailed information through oral and telephone communication.
  • Talking – Clearly expresses ideas by means of spoken word.
  • Ability to sit, stand, type and view a computer screen for extended periods of time (covers
    repetitive motions and vision)
  • Ability to perform low impact physical tasks, such as use of stairs, stooping, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Regular usage of stairs if required at the location.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrate a positive, pleasant, and professional demeanor with exceptional customer service skills
  • Experience in delivering a high level of hospitality and handling customer service request
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to prioritize workload and work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • A high attention to detail and being keen to deliver great experiences
  • Being a self starter but being open and willing to take direction
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Planning, managing, and executing events or meetings
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a hospitality position
