City of Boulder City, NV is seeking a part-time Crossing Guard to help students cross streets safely at designated intersections. You will direct traffic and guide children, ensuring drivers yield and pedestrians cross with minimal risk.
The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a Nevada driver’s license, and the ability to pass background checks. Outdoor work in varying weather and hours, including evenings and weekends, is expected.
The purpose of this position is to provide Clark County School District students safe crossing at designated streets.

High school diploma or equivalent. Note: An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered.
Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver's license, as defined by NRS 483.
Must pass a nationwide fingerprint-based record check, and a wants/warrants check.
Knowledge of City traffic regulations.
Skill in problem solving, with regard for to thinking fast in possibly chaotic situations.
Ability to move automobile traffic expeditiously, with due regard for the safety of pedestrians; get along with school children and the public.

May be required to work an alternative or flexible work schedule, outside of normal business hours, which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or extended hours.
Light work: Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 pounds unassisted.
Upholding ethical standards and practices. Making decisions that align with City's values and ethics. Avoiding distractions in a busy environment. Understanding technical information relevant to the job.
Must have good hearing and eyesight and use of all limbs; must be in average health.
The worker is required to have visual acuity to pass a color vision test.
The worker is subject to outside environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold: No effective protection from weather. The worker is subject to hazards, such asmoving vehicles, walking and working on slippery and uneven surfaces, and outside environmental noises.
