Job summary

Zeeco in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, is looking for a Fabricator/Welder to support its manufacturing operations. The role involves fabricating parts from engineering drawings and performing welding activities to class 2 standards. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of welding practices and must demonstrate at least 4 years of relevant experience.

The successful candidate will work weeknights or weekends and must be able to drive, as well as have the confidence to work at heights. A Fork Lift Licence is desirable.

Job summary: The Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for performing a variety of fabricating and welding activities to support the manufacturing facility. They will be required to understand the Quality Assurance system for materials entry, follow fabrication and welding processes, and produce products compliant with the ISO9001:2008 standard. This hours for this position will be weeknights from 5:30pm - 7:30pm or weekends (hours may vary).

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings
• Fabricate parts from drawings
• Prepare parts for welding (saw, pillar drill, grinding, pipe bending, pipe threading, weld preparation)
• Perform welding activities to class 2 standards using TIG/MIG/Fluxcore welding on common welded joints (fillet, lap, corner and butt) in accordance with the requirements of BS 4872 Part 1
• Ensure all machines are checked on a daily basis completing relevant check sheets

Qualifications

Education:

• GCSE grade A-C Maths, English and Science
• Class A Semi-Skilled Fabricator/Welder

Skills:

• Experience in welding X Ray quality work, 98% pass rate expected
• Proof of welder approval certifications
• Communication skills
• Fork Lift Licence desirable

Knowledge / Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years fabricating experience
• Engineering background
• Able to understand and read engineering drawings
• Pressure vessel experience desirable; Worked with 304, 310, 316 and 321 Stainless steels
