Job summary

Stop & Shop in Vernon, CT is seeking a friendly cashier to greet customers, scan purchases, bag groceries, and handle transactions. You will be the face of the store, delivering care and accurate service in a fast-paced environment.

Hourly rate is $16.94 and you’ll have access to benefits including a 5% associate discount, EAP, flexible scheduling, paid training, and LifeMart discounts through the union. Prior cashier experience preferred but not required.

PRIMARY PURPOSE

We rely on our cashiers to handle our products and customers with care. They're the face of the store. More than anyone, our cashiers interact with our customers and help answer any questions they might have. That's not all, they also scan purchases, bag groceries, and process all transactions. This is just a general overview of their job duties. You may be asked to assist in other ways too, depending on the needs of your store.

Hourly Rate: $16.94

This position is governed under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
