Job summary

Stop & Shop in Dorchester/Boston is seeking a bake shop clerk to delight customers with sweets and treats and to help them find what they're looking for. You will assist in the bake shop, answer questions, decorate desserts, and help maintain a clean kitchen and display cases.

This role emphasizes friendly, attentive service, accuracy in baking and decorating, and teamwork in a busy store, with responsibilities that may expand to other tasks as needed to meet store goals and ensure guest

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail setting preferred.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Basic math and cash handling skills preferred.

Primary Purpose

What ingredients make up the perfect bake shop clerk? Well, our clerks are measured by their ability to serve customers. They delight customers with sweets and treats prepared and decorated especially for them. They also help our customers by answering questions and finding what they're looking for. Of course, you can't have fresh and delicious treats without a freshly cleaned kitchen, and they take care of that too. This is just a general overview of their job duties. You may be asked to assist in other ways too, depending on the needs of your store.

Hourly Rate: $15.00
