Primary Purpose

Provide quality customer service within the Center Store (Grocery) Department. Responsible for maintaining standards, maximizing sales through excellent customer service, and minimizing shrink through proper utilization of standard practice.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service to create a positive shopping experience
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates
• Clean shelves and shelf tag moldings with damp cloth when stocking
• Maintain shelf allocations by stocking from tag to tag
• Ensure only saleable merchandise is on shelves
• Follow policies and guidelines for ordering, receiving, and displaying merchandise
• Use company tools such as ACIS and CAO
• Adhere to company guidelines, policies, and standard practices
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines
• Report unsafe conditions and accidents according to procedures
• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations
• Wear the uniform with a neat appearance and name badge
• Complete required training courses
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems
• Meet minimum age requirements
• Meet physical requirements, with or without accommodations

Physical Requirements

• Use computers and communication systems
• Perform repetitive motions
• Lift up to 15 lbs continuously, 25 lbs frequently, 50 lbs occasionally
• Pull/push up to 75 lbs occasionally
• Push/pull up to 2000 lbs with a pallet jack
• Stand constantly, walk short distances
• Handle various substances and use hands frequently
• Reach and grasp at various levels
• Work in extreme temperatures for periods
• Visual ability to check documents

Salary range: $15.80 - $23.70/hr.
