Primary Purpose

The primary purpose of this job is to scan and/or enter numbers on register, lift and move goods, make change, bag orders, and handle special projects as directed including restock returns, replenishment of front-end items (candy, gift cards, and snacks), clean, and assist with carts.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Promptly, at the start of the shift, review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required, comply with PPE requirements, and prepare for duties.
• Block aisles, set-up checkout areas, and displays as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Tally items, handle money, and make change.
• Bag items and place bags into carts as necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations.
• Meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without accommodations.
• Ability to learn and use the equipment and tools required.
• Complete the company's introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
• Perform all job functions safely.
• Meet performance standards, including regular attendance.
• Wear proper assigned clothes and shoes.
• Have relevant technical training.

Physical Requirements

• Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more.
• Job cycles: continuous maximum.
• Lift/carry: up to 50 lbs.
• Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%.
• Category IV: lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.
• Max pull static: 20 lbs.

Preferred Requirements

• Understanding of company policies and procedures as outlined in manuals and handbooks.
