DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Follow all company policies and procedures.
2. Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
3. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
4. Train and certify other associates as needed.
5. Maintain effective communication within the department and organization.
6. Support productivity and safety standards, report equipment issues, and keep the work area safe and clean.
7. Treat all colleagues with fairness, dignity, and respect.
8. Develop product knowledge across Bakery Department items.
9. Adhere to sanitation and food safety standards.
10. Prepare, proof, and bake bakery products as assigned.
11. Perform additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong communication, customer service, and sales skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Willingness and ability to learn multiple tasks and technical skills.
• Meet minimum age requirements for specific tasks.

Physical Requirements

• Perform repetitive hand and arm motions while standing or walking.
• Lifting up to 30 lbs. frequently, and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
• Reach overhead or to shoulder level as needed.
• Work in extreme temperatures for short periods.
• Operate controls and handle food and cleaning substances safely.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Provide friendly, outstanding customer service.
• Package and display products according to standards and customer needs.
• Organize bakery loads and replenish merchandise.
• Set up displays, process products, and maintain accurate records.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas.
• Frost, ice, and decorate cakes as needed.
• Meet physical requirements with or without accommodations.
