$60 - $100 per teaching hour + $20 - $25 per non‑teaching hour, based on background and experience

Think Academy Irvine is a local education technology company providing Pre‑K to middle school extracurricular learning services through science and technology. We foster students' critical thinking, logic skills, and goal achievement through innovative teaching techniques.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Part‑Time Onsite Math Competition Content Teacher. Content teachers should understand math concepts, prepare classes based on the curriculum, deliver engaging age‑appropriate lessons, and adapt teaching methods to diverse student needs.

What You Will Do
  • Teach 2–3 AMC competition classes per week (AMC 8 and below)
  • Deliver high‑quality, competition‑focused instruction
  • Explain problem‑solving strategies clearly and rigorously
  • Assign and review competition‑style practice problems
  • Support students during the AMC competition season
Qualifications
  • Beginner bachelor’s degree or higher; all majors welcome if passionate about teaching kids and math. Education or STEM‑related majors preferred.
  • Eligible to apply if still pursuing or in progress of obtaining a bachelor’s degree.
  • Prior math teaching experience is not required but a strong plus.
  • Strong personal background in math competitions (AMC, AIME, national or regional awards).
  • Passionate about teaching with a mission to provide better education and promote social development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly responsible and enjoys working with kids.
  • Can commit to at least one whole semester of teaching (Spring: Jan‑May; Summer: June‑Aug; Fall: Aug‑Dec).
  • Available and willing to work during weekday evenings and weekends.
