Job summary

UPS in Spokane is seeking a Ramp Supervisor to oversee daily ramp operations, supervise, train and develop staff, and ensure safety, productivity, accuracy and high service standards across the team.

You will establish a positive, collaborative work environment, implement personal development plans, and coordinate with other departments to maintain efficient operations. Must be able to lift 70 lbs and work flexible shifts.

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ensures all employees adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times, operating in full compliance with department, station, corporate and local government requirements.
  • Manages department resources to ensure maximum output, accuracy, and efficiency at all times.
  • Establishes and promotes a positive, team-oriented work environment emphasizing employee involvement, pro-active communication, inter-departmental cooperation, and continual improvement on all levels.
  • Implements employee personal development plans as required to ensure the continuing professional growth of department personnel.
  • Ensures all department employees receive specific and detailed orientation, skills and safety training, appropriate materials and information, regular evaluations, and pro-active coaching to support their continued development.

Job Summary
This position supervises, trains, develops, and holds ramp employees responsible for safety, production and attendance. He/She sets and maintains high standards for productivity, accuracy, customer service, organization, communication, cooperation, and safety. This position provides innovative and effective leadership and cultivates a functional working relationship with all levels of personnel throughout the organization.

Basic Qualifications

Pay Range
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $26.25/hr to $42.65/hr. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants are offered annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. The company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements.
