Job summary

LaSante Health Center seeks a Psychotherapist who is also a CASAC to join our Behavioral Health Department in Brooklyn, NY.

This full-time, fee-for-service role offers compensation starting at $60–$70+ per session, depending on licensure, experience, and qualifications. The ideal candidate provides psychotherapy for diverse patients and supports individuals with substance use and co-occurring conditions, in-person and via telehealth.

Qualifications

• Active New York State CASAC or CASAC-Advanced credential.
• New York State credential permitting psychotherapy (LMSW/LCSW/LMHC/LMFT etc.).
• Experience with substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual psychotherapy to a diverse patient population.
• Assess and treat mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders.
• Complete clinical and substance use assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
• Provide substance use counseling, relapse prevention, and recovery support.
• Utilize evidence-based approaches (CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care).
• Collaborate with psychiatry, primary care, case management, and treatment team.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
• Participate in clinical supervision and interdisciplinary case consultation.
• Contribute to growth of integrated mental health and substance use services.

LaSante Health Center is seeking a Psychotherapist who is also a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) to join our growing Behavioral Health Department.

This is a full-time fee-for-service position offering competitive compensation starting at $60–$70+ per session, based on licensure, experience, and qualifications.

The ideal candidate is passionate about providing psychotherapy while supporting individuals experiencing substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual psychotherapy to a diverse patient population
• Assess and treat mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders
• Complete clinical and substance use assessments
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress
• Provide substance use counseling, relapse prevention, and recovery support
• Utilize evidence-based treatment approaches including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, and other appropriate modalities
• Collaborate with psychiatry, primary care, case management, and other members of the treatment team
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Participate in clinical supervision and interdisciplinary case consultation
• Contribute to the continued growth of integrated mental health and substance use services

Qualifications

• Active New York State CASAC or CASAC-Advanced credential
• New York State credential permitting the provision of psychotherapy, such as LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMHC-LP, LMFT, or MFT-LP
• Experience working with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring mental health conditions preferred
• Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills
• Commitment to compassionate, culturally responsive, patient-centered care
