Job summary

Silver Lining Behavioral Health seeks licensed therapists to provide psychotherapy to adults and youth. You will coordinate with outpatient clinicians and psychiatric nurses to deliver care, with a flexible schedule and a mix of office-based and telehealth services.

Eligible clinicians include counselors, psychotherapists, psychologists, art or play therapists, or family therapists with at least 1 year of direct client care. Illinois licensure or pursuing MSW/Licensure is required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year providing direct client care to persons with psychiatric or behavioral health needs.
• Must be licensed to practice in Illinois: LSW, LPC, or MSW pursuing licensure.
• Be available to practice a minimum of 15 hours/week.

You are eligible for this position if you are a counselor, psychotherapist, psychologist, art therapist, play therapist, family therapist, child therapist, or other mental health therapist with at least one (1) year of experience providing direct clinical service.

Be licensed to practice in the state of Illinois, including LPC or LSW licenses, or an MSW working towards the licensure

Be available to practice a minimum of 15 hours/week;

The therapist will work in coordination with Silver Lining’s outpatient counseling and psychiatric nurses to provide psychotherapy services to adult and youth clients with behavioral health issues.

Services may include a combination of office- based and telehealth to serve clients at remote locations.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

Minimum Required Education:

• At least 1 year providing direct client care to persons receiving treatment for psychiatric disorders
• Ability to work with both older adult and youth/child populations.

Preferred Experience:

• 1+ years of experience as a psychotherapy provider
• Experience in telemedicine

Licenses/Certifications:

• Must possess an active license to practice counseling or social work in the State of Illinois: LSW, LPC, or have MSW and work towards the licensure
• No suspension/exclusion/debarment from participation in federal health care programs (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP)
• Maintain credentials and licensure with all major insurance companies and licensing boards with the assistance of Silver Lining credentialing staff.

Other Skills Required:

• Experience in delivering high-quality, client-centered care
• Able to document and navigate EHR independently
• Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals involved in all aspects of programming: children, parents, school faculty and staff, grantors, funders, partner agencies, members of the community, and Silver Lining team members
• Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work effectively on a multidisciplinary team
• Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general and professional documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Ability to foster teamwork; train and direct the work of team members and colleagues
• Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work productively and make independent decisions
