Position Overview

Behavioral Health Clinic is seeking a detail-oriented, empathetic, and professional Psychometrist to join our outpatient mental health group practice in Eau Claire, WI. In this role, you will work closely with our licensed clinical psychologists and testing team to administer and score standardized psychological and neuropsychological test batteries for children, adolescents, and adults.

This is an ideal position for a motivated professional looking to gain rich clinical assessment experience within a supportive group practice. Key Responsibilities
  • Test Administration: Administer standardized psychological, cognitive, achievement, memory, and personality tests in strict accordance with standardized manual procedures.
  • Scoring & Data Entry: Accurately score test protocols and compile objective data into organized report shells for psychologist(s).
  • Behavioral Observation: Record detailed, accurate clinical and behavioral observations during testing sessions (e.g., effort, affect, anxiety, attention span).
  • Patient Interaction: Establish rapport with patients of varying ages and clinical presentations to facilitate optimal testing conditions.
  • Inventory & Maintenance: Monitor testing materials, order protocol refills, and maintain clean, organized assessment rooms and equipment.
  • Collateral Coordination: Assist with tracking and collecting rating scales from parents, teachers, and collateral sources.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Coursework in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Neuroscience, Human Development, or a closely related field.
  • Coursework: Successfully completed undergraduate or post-baccalaureate coursework specifically in Psychological Assessment, Tests and Measurements, or Statistics/Research Methods in Psychology (transcripts required).
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Core Skills:
  • Exceptional attention to detail and standard-of-care accuracy in scoring.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain boundaries, patience, and warmth with diverse patient populations.
  • High level of professional integrity and strict adherence to HIPAA and APA ethical guidelines.
  • Strong attendance and punctuality, with consistent reliability in fulfilling scheduled responsibilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy and thoroughness in completing assessments and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience administering standardized assessments (e.g., WAIS, WISC, MIGDAS, WIAT, MCMI, MMPI).
  • Experience working in an outpatient mental health or medical setting or in a human services and/or customer service related field.
Schedule & Work Environment
  • Hours: Part-Time (approx. 15 to 25 hours per week during late afternoons and evenings, some weekend hours apply).
  • Location: Fully in-person at our clinic in Eau Claire, WI.
