Job summary

US Military Treatment Facilities under DHA at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, GA, seeks a Psychology Technician to deliver direct and indirect patient care and provide consultation to active-duty Soldiers and other eligible personnel. The incumbent will perform intake, education, and counseling services within behavioral health settings.

The position falls under the Defense Health Agency as a Direct Hire Solicitation with eligibility limited to US Citizens.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience which includes conducting intake for behavioral health patients, educating and/or counseling behavioral health patients, and maintaining patient records.
• Education: A half year (9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position.
• Combination of Education and Experience may be used to qualify as long as the computed percentage is at least 100%.

About the Position: This position is located at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, GA. Serves as Psychology Technician with the Defense Health Agency - providing individualized and group direct and indirect patient care to clients that are primarily active-duty military Soldiers and other eligible personnel, and consultation.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as Psychology, Human Services, Child & Family Welfare, Counseling (ex. crisis, substance abuse, mental health, chemical dependence), Family and Community Services, Behavioral Science, Human Development, Social Work, Sociology, Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
