Job summary

Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center in Farmington, MO is seeking a licensed psychologist to join the forensic/long-term services team within a long-term care psychiatric hospital. You will administer sex offender risk assessments, conduct mental status exams, and lead treatment groups as needed to support patient progress.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop evidence-based treatment plans, provide individual therapy when required, and monitor treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed psychologist
• Experience with forensic/long-term services is a plus.
• Ability to administer and interpret risk assessments and conduct therapy in a group setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer, score and interpret sex offender risk assessments.
• Complete mental status exams to assess patient readiness for advancement and discharge.
• Facilitate sex offender treatment groups as needed.
• Provide empirically-supported treatment in a primarily group context.
• Participate on multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate care and develop collaborative treatment plans.
• Conduct individual therapy as needed and address treatment needs/monitor progress.

Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center currentlyoffers forensic/long term services within a long term care psychiatric hospital. Job duties include: administer, score and interpret sex offender risk assessments; complete mental status exams to assess patient readiness for advancement and discharge from the facility; facilitate sex offender treatment groups on an as needed basis; provide empirically-supported treatment in a primarily group context; participate on multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate care/develop collaborative treatment plans; conducts individual therapy on an as needed basis; and address individual treatment needs/monitor progress in the program.
