Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department ofPsychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University ofPennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant or AssociateProfessor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Theselected candidate will also serve as the ClinicalDirector/Psychologist, Perinatal Psychosocial in the Center forFetal Diagnoses and Treatment. Expertise is required in thespecific area of the provision of maternal mental health, perinatalpsychology and consultation-liaison psychology services, as well asevidence-based psychological assessment and intervention forfamilies facing complex fetal diagnoses and high-risk pregnancies.Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and must belicensed or eligible for license, as a Psychologist in the State ofPennsylvania. Full Pennsylvania licensed is required prior toappointment. Academic rank will be commensurate withexperience.

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience leadingmultidisplinary psychosocial programs, providing supervision andmentorship to psychologists and trainees, collaborating withphysicians, nurses, social workers, and advances practiceproviders, and developing innovative models of integratedbehavioral healthcare. Experience with program development, qualityimprovement, and academic scholarship is preferred.

Teaching responsibilities may include high-quality clinicaleducation, supervision, and mentorship to psychology interns,postdoctoral fellows, psychiatry residents, medical students,fellows, and other interdisciplinary trainees from the PerelmanSchool of Medicine. The successful candidate will contribute to theeducational mission through didactic teaching, clinicalsupervision, and mentorship while fostering excellence inintegrated behavioral health.

Clinical responsibilities may include serving as the ClinicalDirector of Psychology and Psychosocial Program Manager for theCenter for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment. The successful candidatewill provide comprehensive psychological assessment, consultation,and evidence-based interventions to expectant parents and familiesexperiencing complex fetal diagnoses, fetal interventions,pregnancy loss, and neonatal transitions. Responsibilities includecollaboration with a multidisciplinary team of maternal-fetalmedicine specialists, pediatric surgeons, nurses, social workers,genetic counselors, and other behavioral health professionals toensure integrated, family-centered care. The psychologist willoversee psychosocial services within the Center for Fetal Diagnosisand Treatment (CFDT), supervise psychology staff and trainees,support program development, and participate in quality improvementinitiatives to advance psychosocial care across the continuum offetal therapy.

The CFDT at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is aninternationally recognized leader in fetal diagnosis, fetaltherapy, and multidisciplinary family-centered care. The ClinicalDirector of Psychology serves as the leader of the Center'spsychosocial program, partnering closely with clinical andadministrative leadership to ensure the delivery of exceptionalbehavioral health services for patients and families facing highlycomplex pregnancies. The psychologist will be a member of theDepartment of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and BehavioralSciences (DCAPBS) at CHOP. DCAPBS offers specialized care forindividuals and families facing emotional, behavioral, and mentalhealth challenges. The department emphasizes that mental health ishealth, and aims to provide appropriate diagnoses and personalizedtreatment.
