Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a psychologist to evaluate and treat patients, providing comprehensive psychological assessment and psychotherapy. Under supervision of the clinical director, you will contribute to quality improvement efforts aligned with Brown University Health principles.

The role may offer a faculty appointment through Alpert Medical School, with teaching and trainee supervision responsibilities.

Qualifications

• PhD in Clinical Psychology required or equivalent (e.g., PsyD, PhD or EdD in Counseling Psychology).
• Completion of an American Psychological Association accredited Internship.
• Postdoctoral Fellowship (minimum 1 year) if required by state licensure.
• Licensed to practice as a Psychologist in the State of Rhode Island or eligible for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients, providing a full range of psychological services including psychological assessment and psychotherapy.
• Assist with Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance Initiatives in line with Brown University Health principles.
• Possible faculty appointment through Alpert Medical School; some teaching and supervision of trainees may be required.

Job description

SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the clinical director, evaluates and treats patients, providing a full range of psychological services, including psychological assessment and psychotherapy. Assists with Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance Initiatives consistent with Brown University Health principles. Candidates may be eligible for a faculty appointment through Alpert Medical School. For those with faculty appointments, some teaching and supervision of trainees will be required.
