The role focuses on providing comprehensive mental health care, conducting assessments, and developing tailored treatment plans within a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will perform screenings, crisis interventions, and routine rounds to monitor inmate mental health, while collaborating with psychiatrists and other clinicians.

Qualifications

• Licensed Psychologist with a valid state license.
• Experience in a clinical or correctional setting is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and counseling techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological screenings and assessments through interviews and examination of available records.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, mental health providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on ongoing evaluation of patient needs and functioning.
• Perform regular rounds in various housing areas to evaluate inmate adjustment and mental health requirements.
• Apply psychological counseling theories and techniques to provide effective treatments and interventions.
• Conduct mental health assessments and deliver crisis intervention strategies to support inmates in distress.
• Engage in consultations with staff across various departments to gain insights into behavioral issues and mental health changes among inmates.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive psychological service programs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and conducting assessments and treatments tailored to the needs of each individual.
