Job Description
- Administers, scores and interprets individual psychological tests or test batteries for purposes of crisis intervention, neuropsychological issues, risk assessment, severe behavioral management cases, treatment, and programming.
- Participates in hearings as assigned and assessments for potential suicide.
- As a member of the interdisciplinary team, responsible for development and implementation of mental health interventions (e.g., psychological, social and substance abuse) for a caseload of offenders/patients with mental illness.
- Conducts individual and group clinical interventions as prescribed on the individual mental health treatment plan using clinical intervention strategies within their scope of practice.
- Provides mental health liaison services to an assigned caseload, including the monitoring of the offender compliance with the mental health treatment plan.
- Completes detailed screens, mental health evaluations and crisis services within their scope of practice.
- Writes reports and/or documents to include documentation of all offender contacts, mental health liaison progress note entries, discharge plans and miscellaneous forms and reports as needed.
- Completes psychosocial needs and treatment assessments as part of interdisciplinary treatment planning.
- Completes transfer and discharge summaries and pre-parole clinical risk assessments and treatment summaries.
- Consults with other institution staff regarding the mental health caseload, inmate institutional adjustment and service needs.
Location: State of OH ODRC - Lorain Correctional (LorCI)
Pay: $85/hr
Hours: Mon–Fri, 8–4pm. No weekends/Holidays.
