Community Behavioral Health (CBH) is seeking a Physician Advisor to oversee medical necessity determinations for behavioral health services and to guide clinical practice in alignment with organizational goals.

The role includes directing crisis team activities, performing medical reviews, and collaborating with providers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective care for CBH Members. Candidates should have board certification in psychiatry and extensive inpatient experience.

Qualifikationen

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in Psychiatry and/or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by ABPN; PA medical license.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical psychiatry experience including inpatient care and substance abuse treatment.

Aufgaben

• Review cases from multiple sites and levels of care for medical necessity.
• Peer review cases for disputed levels of care.
• Perform medical reviews and make denial decisions based on medical necessity.
• Participate in clinical and administrative meetings; interact with providers.
• Serve as clinical leadership resource and consultant to Clinical Care Managers.
