Job summary

Neighborhood Healthcare in California is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide evaluations, medication management, and supervision for other providers, collaborating with psychotherapists and primary care physicians to support whole-person care.

You will participate in credentialing, quality initiatives, and ensure timely documentation while upholding HIPAA and safety standards; a CA medical license and ABPN board certification are required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required and board-eligible or board-certified.
• Completion of or eligibility for ABPN certification in Psychiatry.
• Valid California medical license and active CA DEA registration.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required on hire.
• DEA MAT waiver to prescribe buprenorphine preferred/required.
• Proven ability to work within a multidisciplinary health team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and medication management.
• Provide health and behavioral health services and Medication Assisted Treatment when needed.
• Support credentialing processes with managed care companies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and case conferences.
• Ensure timely, accurate documentation within 48 hours.
• Provide weekly clinical supervision to PMHNP/PA-C or trainees.
• Collaborate with Care Teams to improve patient health outcomes.
