Job summary

Urban Health Plan in the Bronx, NY seeks a Psychiatrist to join our outpatient behavioral health team, serving as core faculty for the newly accredited residency program launching July 2026. You will provide evaluations, medication management, and collaborative care within a multidisciplinary setting.

The role requires a psychiatrist trained in contemporary evidence-based practices, with teaching responsibilities and a commitment to serving diverse, underserved populations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical School.
• Completion of approved residency in Psychiatry.
• Board certification; New York State license and DEA.
• At least 1 year experience in a mental health outpatient setting.
• Ability to interact and communicate with a diverse population.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning for patients.
• Collaborate with primary care and behavioral health teams using an integrated care approach.
• Participate in case conferences, peer reviews, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Teach and mentor psychiatry residents and trainees.
• Document all patient care in the EHR timely and in compliance with regulations.
• Provide consultation and support to primary care providers and behavioral health staff.
• Maintain knowledge of best practices, evidence-based treatment, and regulatory requirements.
