Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Psychiatrist to join our Assertive Community Treatment Team, working 24 hours per week onsite.

You will deliver psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and outpatient psychotherapy within a multidisciplinary, community-based setting. The ideal candidate holds an MD or DO with an active NC license, board certification in Psychiatry, and 5+ years of experience with serious mental illness.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted NC medical license.
• Board certification in Psychiatry (ASAM certification or eligibility preferred).
• 5+ years experience treating individuals with mental illness.
• Experience treating: schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar I with psychosis.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management.
• Deliver outpatient psychotherapy in community settings.
• Coordinate integrated, whole-person care with ACT team and primary care providers.
• Guide and support ACT team members in clinical decision-making.

Your Role in Our Mission

As the ACT Team Psychiatrist, you will be a clinical leader providing essential psychiatric care for individuals with serious mental illness and substance use challenges. In this role, you will:

Clinical Services

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management
• Deliver outpatient psychotherapy in community settings

Integrated, Whole-Person Care

• Ensure coordination between mental health, substance use, and primary healthcare services
• Consult with primary care providers to support comprehensive health needs
