Qualifications

• Experience in residential DJJ programs, offender treatment, group work, child welfare, and substance abuse treatment is desirable.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse groups in a participatory management environment.
• Must meet state criminal background check requirements and maintain employment eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical diagnostic evaluations, treatment team consultations, and medical prescription management.
• Supervise the psychiatric nurse practitioner while guiding the medical team.

• Participate in ongoing clinical in-service training and development activities.
• Maintain a high standard of role model behavior for youth.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Skills: Must be able to work effectively with diverse groups of staff and residents in a participatory management environment.
• Physical Demands: Ability to periodically work extended hours and respond to mental health crises as needed. Must be able to assist staff in restraining youth using approved behavior management techniques. PAR certification preferred. Must be free of communicable diseases as required by the state.
• Other: Must meet state criminal background check requirements and maintain employment eligibility status.
