Harlem Hospital is a designated Level 1 Trauma Center and is recognized for providing centers of excellence in the areas of Bariatric Surgery, Breast Imaging and Sexual Assault Forensics. Our teams provide services for nearly 213,000 outpatient visits, more than 83,000 emergency room visits, and over 13,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

The Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic sees approximately 30,000 visits annually, serving Central Harlem and Northern Manhattan, including patients with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders. Our team includes 4 Psychiatrists and 2 Nurse Practitioners, in addition to psychologists, therapists, nurses, case managers, and a medical Nurse Practitioner providing integrated medical care. Psychiatry residents and social work interns complete their training here.
