Onvida Health invites you to join our Outpatient Psychiatry team at the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence in Southwest Arizona. This hospital-employed role combines clinical practice with academic involvement, including teaching residents and contributing to the residency program.

The position features a Monday–Friday schedule and a mix of inpatient/outpatient care, with collaborative, patient-centered care within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Eligible for Arizona medical licensure prior to employment.
• Able to obtain full, unrestricted medical staff privileges at Onvida Health.
• Interest in resident education and academic program development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient psychiatry with inpatient consultation within a 24-bed Behavioral Health Unit.
• Participate in Psychiatry Residency Program, teaching and mentoring residents.
• Engage in a balanced 80/20 split between clinical practice and educational/academic activities.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.

As a hospital-employed Outpatient Psychiatry provider, you will join a collaborative Behavioral Health team dedicated to serving the mental health needs of our rapidly growing and diverse community. Position Highlights

• Standard Monday through Friday schedule designed to promote a healthy work-life balance.
• Practice within a 24-bed inpatient Behavioral Health Unit serving a diverse mix of adult and adolescent patients.
• Psychiatry practice model encompassing inpatient and outpatient care, consultations, and referral services.
• Active participation in the Psychiatry Residency Program, with opportunities to teach, mentor, and educate resident physicians while contributing to the continued growth and academic mission of the program.
• Participate in a shared call rotation designed to promote balanced coverage and continuity of patient care.
• Balanced allocation of responsibilities with approximately 80% dedicated to clinical practice and 20% devoted to educational and academic activities.
• Provide care to a diverse patient population with an approximate 50/50 mix of adult and adolescent behavioral health patients.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment that emphasizes patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and professional collaboration.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Eligible for and able to obtain unrestricted Arizona medical licensure prior to employment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain full, unrestricted medical staff privileges at Onvida Health.
• Demonstrated commitment to high-quality, patient-centered behavioral healthcare.
• Interest in resident education, mentorship, and academic program development preferred.
