Job summary

Annashae Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified / Eligible Psychiatrist for a full-time opportunity in the Chicago area. The position offers $440,000 annually, malpractice coverage, and a manageable inpatient caseload at a 155-bed behavioral health facility.

Responsibilities include comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, managing an inpatient caseload of 15–25 patients, documentation, and court testimony when required.

Qualifications

• Current DEA Certificate.
• Inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
• Ability to manage an inpatient caseload of approximately 15–25 patients.
• Comfortable with required psychiatric evaluations, documentation, and court testimony.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing treatment.
• Manage an assigned inpatient caseload.
• Document medication changes and provide monthly progress notes.
• Meet with patients regularly to review medications and establish individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress and provide documentation supporting transfer or discharge.
• Testify in court regarding involuntary commitments, fitness to proceed, involuntary medication administration, and other matters as required.
• Collaborate with nursing, social work, discharge planning, and other members of the treatment team.
• Participate in committee meetings, peer review, continuing education, and facility quality initiatives.
• Provide leadership in the management and treatment of assigned patients.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Demonstrate competency in performing required patient holds and interventions.

Annashae Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified / Eligible Psychiatrist for a full-time opportunity in the Chicago area. This position offers competitive compensation, malpractice coverage, and a manageable patient caseload.

Position Highlights

• Location: Chicago Area, IL
• Compensation: $440,000 annually
• Malpractice: Provided
• Weekly Caseload: Approximately 15–25 patients
• Facility: 155-bed behavioral health facility
• Interview: Required – Virtual via Microsoft Teams

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing treatment.
• Manage an assigned inpatient caseload.
• Complete required psychiatric evaluations, 90-day reports, fitness reports, and NGRI reports.
• Document medication changes and provide monthly progress notes.
• Meet with patients regularly to review medications and establish individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress and provide documentation supporting transfer or discharge.
• Review seclusion and restraint cases.
• Testify in court regarding involuntary commitments, fitness to proceed, involuntary medication administration, and other matters as required.
• Collaborate with nursing, social work, discharge planning, and other members of the treatment team.
• Participate in committee meetings, peer review, continuing education, and facility quality initiatives.
• Provide leadership in the management and treatment of assigned patients.
