Position Summary

The Psychiatrist is responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with mental health disorders through a combination of psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, medication management, hospitalization, and other evidence-based treatment modalities. The Psychiatrist will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to evaluate patient needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and ensure the highest level of patient care and safety.

This role is critical in delivering comprehensive psychiatric services that focus on improving patient outcomes, promoting recovery, and enhancing overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
• Diagnose and treat a variety of mental health disorders in adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as appropriate.
• Provide psychotherapy and other therapeutic interventions when indicated.
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and patient case reviews.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor patient progress and make treatment adjustments as needed.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable state, federal, and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Active Oklahoma medical license (or ability to obtain).
• DEA registration or ability to obtain.
