Job summary

Capitol Park Mental Health Hospital, part of the Acadia Healthcare network in downtown St. Paul, MN, is seeking a Full-Time Psychiatrist for our inpatient team. You will diagnose and treat mental illnesses through psychotherapy, medications, and hospitalization as needed.

MD or DO required with board certification in psychiatry and current DEA credentials; Minnesota licensure preferred. One year or more post-graduate experience is preferred. Salary ranges from $300,000 to $350,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances.
• Licensed in Minnesota or the state where the facility operates.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical psychiatric services to inpatients and outpatients as assigned.
• Diagnose and treat mental illnesses through psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medications.
• Review medical information to ensure patient stability and inform treatment decisions.
• Evaluate patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders and develop care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Education

Compensation: $300,000-$350,000 per year.

Capitol Park Mental Health Hospital, an affiliate of Fairview Health Services, is a brand new mental health treatment hospital in downtown St. Paul, MN, offering inpatient and outpatient services for adults and seniors.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time, Psychiatrist to join our skilled and patient focused team.

About the role:

Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
• Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
• Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
• Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
• Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
• Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
• One or more years' post graduate degree practice preferred.
• Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Board certification in psychiatry
• Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
