Job summary

Franklin Primary Health Center is seeking a Psychiatrist to contribute to the medical health program and provide full scope psychiatric services. You will diagnose, treat, coordinate care, and participate in PCMH activities.

The physician will work with executives to align policies, ensure compliance with HIPAA, and maintain hospital privileges where applicable. Board eligibility or certification is expected, with Alabama licensure in good standing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved medical school or possess Standard Certificate as issued by the Educational Council for foreign medical graduates.
• Must hold a license to practice medicine in Alabama.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible; BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients needing psychiatric services.
• Provide care based on established guidelines.
• Collaborate with CMO and senior staff on patient care plans.
• Supervise mid-level practitioners and coordinate care.
• Admit or arrange admission of patients needing hospitalization.
