Centurion Health seeks a full-time Psychiatrist to provide outpatient and reception services at Northwest Florida Reception Center in Chipley, FL, near Panama City. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients within a correctional setting, leading a multidisciplinary team and supporting a day-to-day clinical operation.

Requirements include MD/DO, Florida license, board certification in Psychiatry, and active DEA registration.

Qualifications

• MD or DO, Florida license required.
• Board Certification in Psychiatry required.
• Active DEA registration required.
• TB documentation and CPR certification required.
• Background check and security clearance where applicable.
• Minimum 2 years psychiatry experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in correctional mental health care or locked unit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients.
• Offer outpatient and reception services within a male correctional facility.
• Lead and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary behavioral health team.
• Support clinical leadership and day-to-day operations; participate in on-call rotations.

Work in a dynamic correctional environment and live near the beaches in Panama City, Florida. Provide outpatient and reception services within this male correctional institution. Enjoy working day shift Monday through Friday.NHSC Loan Repayment is available for qualified full-time candidates with a score of 21!The Psychiatrist provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients, works under the supervision of the Psychiatric Medical Director, and provides clinical leadership for a multi-disciplinary team in providing behavioral health services to patients with psychiatric disorders or other mental health issues.Documentation of education as MD or DO and completion of accredited residency program requiredCurrent license to practice medicine in Florida requiredBoard Certification for certification in PsychiatryMust have an active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certificateMust maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certificationMust be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicableMinimum of two (2) years of experience practicing as psychiatrist in a clinical setting preferredMinimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in an clinical settingExperience in correctional mental health care or locked unit preferredAvailable ShiftMonday-FridayDay ShiftAll full-time Psychiatrists participate in rotational on-call approximately every 6 to 8 weeks.
