Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a physician to provide psychiatric outpatient care at two VA facilities, Meadville PA (3 days/week) and Venango PA (2 days/week). Qualifications

• Must be a United States citizen or eligible per VA policy
• Degree of Doctor of Medicine or equivalent
• Degree must be from a school approved by VA for the year of graduation
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in a US state, territory, or DC
• Residency training in an accredited core specialty program leading to board eligibility
• For faculty status, board certification may be required in some programs
• Alternate pathway: one year of post-medical school training plus two years of post-training independent practice
• Non-U.S. residency training with at least three years of independent practice in the U.S. can qualify
• PRPs must be fully licensed physicians and may be appointed intermittently
• Proficiency in spoken and written English

Responsabilités

• Provide medical care and evaluation for psychiatry outpatients in Crawford (3 days/week) and Venango (2 days/week) clinics
• Utilize advanced practice skills and collaborate with physicians as needed
• Provide healthcare to adults and groups across the lifespan including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging, prescribe medications and follow-up plans
• Counsel patients in health promotion and disease prevention
• Maintain documentation of assessments and interventions
