Elmira Psychiatric Center (EPC), an Office of Mental Health facility, seeks a part-time Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist for its outpatient team in Seneca Falls, NY.

You will join a multi-disciplinary team, conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, and create treatment plans with medication management, while reviewing labs with the treatment team. You will provide individual and group psychotherapy and oversee about 105 patients.

Job description

Elmira Psychiatric Center (EPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting a part time Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrists for their outpatient team. The outpatient clinic is located in Seneca Falls, NY.

Psychiatrists at EPC are part of a multi-disciplinary team that provides comprehensive, patient-centered, and holistic team-based care to individuals with mental illness including:

• Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments
• Creating treatment plans including medication management
• Obtaining and reviewing appropriate laboratory tests and consulting with members of treatment team as needed
• Providing individual and group psychotherapy
• Overseeing a caseload of approximately 105 individuals

About EPC:

EPC provides comprehensive inpatient and community treatment services to adults who have been diagnosed with serious mental illness and children and adolescents diagnosed with serious emotional disturbances to New York's Southern Tier and Finger Lakes regions. Community-based services include Assertive Community Treatment, Mobile Integration Team, Community and Family Care Residences, Intensive Case Management, School-based Day Treatment, Drop-In Centers, and outpatient clinic treatment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Psychiatrist 1: License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and completion of a training program in psychiatry approved by the ABPN.

Psychiatrist 2: License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and certification in psychiatry approved by the ABPN.
