Summit Oaks Hospital, Inc. in Summit, New Jersey, is seeking a qualified Psychiatrist. The role involves providing psychiatric diagnostic and therapeutic care to patients with mental and emotional disorders while ensuring effective integration of treatment approaches.
The ideal candidate must be a graduate of an accredited medical school, have completed a psychiatry residency, hold Board Certification, and possess a valid NJ medical license. The position offers competitive compensation and benefits.
The duties of a Psychiatrist are to provide psychiatric diagnostic and therapeutic care to patients with mental, emotional and behavioral disorders and substance use disorders. Assist in providing direction for inpatient and/or outpatient Psychiatric Units. The Psychiatrist shall provide senior back-up coverage and weekend coverage as assigned by Hospital’s Medical Director and /or Hospital’s CEO/Managing Director. Shall provide administrative services as enumerated and carry an appropriate inpatient and/or outpatient case load as assigned by Medical Director and/or Hospital’s CEO/Managing Director. Psychiatrist will attend 75% of physician meetings and 75% of MedExec meetings.
Education: Graduate of an accredited medical school; completed residency in psychiatry, Board Certification required.
Experience: 5-8 years of Experience. Experienced in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, well developed skills in integrating individual treatment approaches into treatment milieu and good working relationships with other attending physicians and staff.
Licensure: Valid and current license to practice medicine in the State of NJ; current narcotics numbers as issued by the State of NJ and USDEA.
Additional Requirements: Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
