Job description

The Adolescent Psychiatrist plays a critical role in diagnosing, treating, and supporting children and adolescents experiencing a wide range of mental health disorders. This position involves comprehensive clinical assessments, development of individualized treatment plans, and the application of evidence‑based psychotherapeutic and pharmacological interventions. The Child Psychiatrist collaborates closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic care and promote optimal developmental outcomes. Additionally, the role includes providing clinical supervision and guidance to junior staff and trainees, fostering a supportive learning environment. Ultimately, the Child Psychiatrist contributes to advancing mental health care for young patients by integrating clinical expertise with compassionate patient‑centered care.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with completion of a residency in Psychiatry
  • Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry
  • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in clinical assessment and treatment of psychiatric disorders
  • Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and psychotherapeutic modalities
  • Certificates, licenses and registrations required:
