U.S. Army 2nd Medical Recruiting Battalion seeks a Psychiatrist to support the health of Soldiers and their families. You’ll work in a high‑caliber medical environment using advanced treatments and technologies, advancing readiness and medical capability.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited U.S. medical school; foreign grads may apply with permanent ECFMG certificate.
• Current medical license in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico.
• Eligible for board certification.
• Completed at least one year of an approved graduate medical education internship.
• Completed psychiatry training or residency in the U.S.
• Between 21 and 42 years old; waivers considered.
• U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric care to Soldiers and their families to support readiness.
• Utilize innovative technologies and treatments in world‑class facilities.
• Participate in humanitarian missions and leadership training opportunities.
• Collaborate with Army Medical Corps professionals to expand psychiatric care.

Requirements:

• Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply with permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates
• Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
• Eligibility for board certification
• Completion of at least one year of an approved graduate medical education internship
• Completion of a training program in psychiatry or residency in the U.S.
• Between 21 and 42 years of age (waivers granted on a case-by-case basis)
• U.S. citizenship
