Job summary

Family Care Center in Parker, Colorado seeks a Psychiatrist to provide therapy and/or medication management for patients under care in a 100% outpatient setting.

You will join a collaborative multidisciplinary team, including therapists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, with flexible FT/PT/PRN scheduling and support to optimize patient care. Competitive compensation up to $400,000, sign-on bonus, relocation support, and a comprehensive benefits package are available.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO required.
  • ACGME-accredited residency in psychiatry preferred.
  • Current medical license in state of practice.
  • Current and unrestricted DEA registration in the state of practice.
  • Certification from the American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS).

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services at or above the customary practice standards in the Community, and within the qualifications and experience of Physician and adhere to the standards and principles of medical ethics of the AMA.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments using the bio-psycho-social model through discussion, observation, and analysis.
  • Identify psychiatric conditions according to the DSM-5.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans through multi-disciplinary collaboration with therapists and other professionals.
  • Initiate and manage psychopharmacologic treatments.
  • Order and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic test results.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals when hospitalization is required.
  • Provide psychoeducation to patients and families when clinically appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with medical assistants to streamline clinical workflow and optimize the patient’s experience of care.

Position Summary

The Psychiatrist provides therapy and/or medication management as needed to identify, diagnose, and treat patients under their care.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical services at or above the customary practice standards in the Community, and within the qualifications and experience of Physician and adhere to the standards and principles of medical ethics of the American Medical Association, and all recognized associations or accrediting boards concerned with Physician's area of medical specialty.
