Job Title: Psychiatrist
Location: Morehead City, NC
Position Type: Part-time

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Identify appropriate evidence-based or emerging best practice therapies to be employed by staff in delivery services.
• Ensure coordination between Mental Health and Substance Abuse services delivered with primary healthcare providers.
• Consult with primary healthcare providers on the clinical aspects of the individual being served and implications for their physical healthcare needs.
• Provide direct services such as medication management, psychiatric evaluation, and review and coordination of medications with primary care physicians for the individuals served.
• Work on a full-time or part-time basis for a minimum of 16 hours per week for every 50 individuals.
• Provide clinical services to all ACTT individuals.
• Work with the team leader to monitor each individual’s clinical status and response to treatment.

Qualifications

• Education: Psychiatrist, Board Certified MD/DO.
• Work Experience: Physician with ASAM or ABAM Certification and two or more years of direct service diagnosing, treating, and evaluating effectiveness with the population served.

Requirements

• The ACT team shall provide an average of three contacts per week for all individuals.
• Program services are primarily delivered face‑to‑face with the consumer and in locations outside the Agency’s facility.
• Program services must be documented according to Medicaid and CSEUC standards.
• The ACT team shall be available to provide treatment, rehabilitation, and support activities seven days per week.
