Job summary

RPS is recruiting an Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist to provide care for adults in inpatient units at multiple Connecticut locations, including Middletown. The position is full-time (40 hours/week) with no nights or weekends, and carries a sign-on bonus.

The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team and operate within the state's Lead Mental Health Authority for 18 towns, delivering care based on professional judgement. Connecticut licensure and ABPN board certification are required.

Qualifications

• Twelve months of experience within the last three years performing services similar to those defined herein in a public or private institution.
• Possess and maintain a current and valid license issued by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology to practice Adult Psychiatry in the State of Connecticut including adherence to all laws and regulations governing the practice of Psychiatry in Connecticut.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to an adult population in the inpatient unit.
• Psychiatrists are supported by a complete team including e.g. an Intake Department, Nurses, Therapists, LCSWs, Case Managers, etc.
• Lead Mental Health Authority the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services for 18 towns.

About the Role

• Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday thru Friday, 40 hours per week.
• No nights, weekends, or on-call. This is initially approximately a 4-6 month’s opportunity but may offer extension option. No set number of patients per day. Number of patients per day is based on sound professional judgement.

Pay range and compensation package

$250/Hour. Malpractice Insurance Included
