Job summary

Enki Health Services, Inc. in Los Angeles is seeking a Psychiatrist to perform psychiatric evaluations on a scheduled and emergency basis, develop and implement treatment plans, and work with the treatment team to optimize care for youth clients.

The role is open to full-time or part-time contract and involves intake interviews, expert diagnosis, medication management, and collaboration with agencies to coordinate care within the outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform intakes and diagnostic interviews on a scheduled and emergency basis.
• Make expert diagnosis, interpretation, recommendation in providing consultation to treatment team.
• Participate in clinical staff diagnosis/evaluation of clients in the Outpatient Program.
• Provide medical psychiatric treatment of clients.
• Write prescriptions and monitor medication effectiveness and side effects.
• Be available for consultation and providing information to agencies, which are coordinating their work with that of the clinics.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrative, medical and non-medical mental health staff, clients and the general public.
• Assure that the clients admitted to clinics require the level of care in which the different programs offer.
• Serve on the Utilization Review Committee as requested.
• Consult as necessary with the Director of Psychiatric Services on unusual, complex or serious cases.
• Meet with the Director of Psychiatric Services on a regular basis.
• Comply with SD/MC standards for chart documentation.
• Participate in general staff meeting as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all Company policies and procedures as applicable.
