Job summary

Army Healthcare is seeking a psychiatrist to serve as an officer within the U.S. Army health care team. You will diagnose and treat Soldiers and their families, entering a ready-made practice with comprehensive benefits and no overhead concerns.

Your service will contribute to the readiness of the nation and the welfare of military families. Position offers a $272,000 accession signing bonus, extensive paid education, generous leave, and a non-contributory retirement after 20 years.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from a US-accredited medical school (or DO).
• Current license to practice medicine in the US, DC, or PR.
• Eligibility for board certification in psychiatry.
• Completion of at least one year of approved GME internship.
• Completion of a psychiatry training program.
• Between 21 and 42 years of age.

Requirements include:

• Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates
• Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
• Eligibility for board certification
• Completion of at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
• Completion of a training program in psychiatry
• Between 21 and 42 years of age
