Job summary

Capital Region Mental Health Center, a unit within the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, is seeking an Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist. The role is full-time (40 hours/week), with Monday through Friday schedules and no nights, weekends, or on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Twelve continuous months of experience within the last three years performing services similar in scope to those defined herein in a public or private institution.
• Possess and maintain a current and valid license issued by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology to practice Adult Psychiatry in the State of Connecticut including adherence to all laws and regulations governing the practice of Psychiatry in Connecticut.

About the Role

• No nights, weekends, or on-call. This is initially approximately a 4-6 month’s opportunity but may offer extension option. No set number of patients per day. Number of patients per day is based on sound professional judgement.
