The approach at our treatment centers is firmly rooted in individualized, person-centered care to help clients uncover the why behind their disorders and help them build foundational relationships that help answer the how in moving forward**Position Summary**This position’s responsibilities include ensuring the health and safety of all clients as well as assessing and prescribing appropriate medication regimes. This position also assesses medical and psychiatric issues and concerns then address or make appropriate referrals. This position also approves potential admissions based on medical and psychiatric requirements. This position is responsible for consulting with the treatment team on primary diagnosis and co-occurring issues.**Relationships and Contacts*****Within the organization:***Establish and maintain productive working relationships with peers and accounting team members throughout STR Behavioral Health and affiliated facilities. ***Outside the organization***: Establish and maintain productive working relationships with third party vendors, as necessary.**Position Responsibilities****Essential Responsibilities**1. Maintaining a safe and secure environment2. Help Clients by providing information, services, and assistance3. Routine checkups and psychiatric evaluations of clients4. Conducting follow up and evaluation of client physical and psychiatric conditions.5. Prescribe medications as necessary6. Document clinical, medical, and psychiatric treatments and recommendations7. Oversee and collaborate with Clinicians on client’s treatment plans8. Participate in Clinical Treatment team meetings 2x a month9. Pre-screen clients by reviewing psych and medical records for admission10. Minimum of two hours a week, depending on current census**Additional Responsibilities**1. Performs other duties as assigned## Qualifications**Minimum Requirements****Education and Experience**This position requires at least 3 years of residency in psychiatry. Active valid licensed practitioner in the state of Pennsylvania. Willingness to work with a clinical to make recommendations and implement strategies that will benefit clients. Willingness to take calls during after hour day and times. Additionally, complete other tasks and duties appropriate to the position and/ or as assigned.
