Job summary

Rochester Psychiatric Center (RPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrists for their inpatient Adult Services Unit located in Rochester, New York. This unit serves adults 18+ requiring intensive care before returning to community living.

Job description

Rochester Psychiatric Center (RPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrists for their inpatient Adult Services Unit located in Rochester, New York. This unit is for individuals 18 years and older who need an intensive level of care before returning to community living.

As a Psychiatrist at RPC, you will provide comprehensive, patient centered, and recovery focused treatments to individuals with mental illness 18 year of age or older; including:

  • Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments
  • Creating treatment plans including medication management
  • Obtaining and reviewing appropriate laboratory tests and consulting with members of treatment team as needed
  • Providing individual and group psychotherapy

About RPC:

RPC provides inpatient and outpatient treatment and rehabilitation to adults who have been diagnosed with serious mental illness, residential and community support programs to children and adolescents diagnosed with serious emotional disturbances, and inpatient treatment to individuals who are currently involved with the Criminal Justice System. RPC is committed to supporting underserved individuals, organizations, and communities along with activities and initiatives to reduce disparities in access, quality, and treatment for underserved populations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Psychiatrist 1: License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and completion of a training program in psychiatry approved by the ABPN.

Psychiatrist 2: License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and certification in psychiatry approved by the ABPN.
