Mental Health Services is a part of Student Wellness within Campus and Student Life. MHS provides mental health care for eligible students. Mental health services include diagnostic assessments, emergency services, crisis intervention, individual, couples, and/or group psychotherapy, medication management, academic skills counseling, and referral services. MHS staff provides consultation to University faculty, staff, and administrators who have concerns about a student. In its care for students, MHS employs a multidisciplinary team of mental health clinicians and supports a psychology training program and a psychiatry resident training rotation site.
Provides routine and emergent psychiatric care to University of Chicago students. Consults with multidisciplinary Mental Health Services (MHS) and Student Wellness (SW) staff, in accordance with privileges approved by the credentials committee, to identify and manage mental health problems.
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
