Job summary

CFG Health Network is seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to lead the CASTLE program across Berlin, Camden, and Willingboro in New Jersey. The role involves comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and coordinating medication management and therapy for children and families.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care, participate in quality improvement, and contribute to staff training and program development

Qualifications

• MD or DO with completion of a residency in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry required.
• Valid medical license in New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents.
• Develop individualized treatment plans addressing patient needs.
• Provide medication management, including prescribing and monitoring.
• Deliver psychotherapy and family counseling.
• Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, nurses and other professionals.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Document assessments and plans accurately in accordance with standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and treatment planning.

Job description

Full or part-time position, 24-40 hours/week to cover three locations - Camden, Willingboro and Berlin, NJ. Full-time hours to include outpatient.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for children and adolescents.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
• Provide medication management, including prescribing, monitoring, and adjusting psychiatric medications as necessary.
• Deliver psychotherapy and counseling services to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with facility standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case consultations, and treatment planning sessions.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the ongoing development of the C.A.S.T.L.E. program.
• Stay informed of advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry and contribute to staff training and education.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with completion of a residency in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is required.
• Valid medical license in the state of New Jersey.
• Experience in child and adolescent psychiatric care is preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills with a focus on evidence-based practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in engaging with children, adolescents, and their families.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining patient confidentiality.
